About Me

I am a multimedia journalist based in San Diego, California. I graduated from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University in 2017, with my BA in Mass Communication and Media Studies.

Much of my reporting has focused on San Diego communities — in the greater border region and beyond. An award-winning multimedia journalist, I’ve developed extensive skills through coverage that includes: art, culture, race, equity, police oversight, criminal justice reform, immigration, education, and environmental stories.

My work has appeared in outlets such as The San Diego Union-Tribune, Times of San Diego, The Voice of San Diego, and San Diego Magazine. It’s also been featured in various national publications and television programs, including Laura Flanders & Friends, Prism, Daily Kos, The Daily Chela, Next City, Latino Rebels, Bolts, and Palabra NAHJ.
